1968 photobooth

Most Famous Film - Superman III

History
The model 17 Photobooth was originally designed to be an ID photograph machine. These booths were scattered around Australia, including shopping centres, railway stations and popular gathering points for patrons to to get quick (5min) ID photos taken. (Luckily we have found a way to shorten the length of time down to only 3 Mins).

Photo Booths became extremely popular throughout the years, being a quick, fun and convenient way to take photos. Colour Photo Booths eventually replaced the black and whit machines, but they have stayed in our hearts and memories. Photobooths are truly a part of Australian History.

This machine was a popular attraction situated in the City Cross Arcade in Adelaide during the 1980's through to the early 90's. School students, loved ones and families regularly visited and enjoyed this booth. In 1992, by popular demand the booth was removed and began to make appearances at celebrities weddings and parties.

Vintage 1954

Manufactured in 1956

Most Famous Film - Terminal Velocity

History
The Model 11 Photo Booth was originally created specifically for Government and Military ID photos. This was the first photo booth to allow more than one set of photos to develop at a time through the introduction of solenoids rather than large mechanical gears. The spider was introduced and could hold 7 individual strips of 4 photos at a time. This was the prototype for the photo booths we continue to use today.

Early on pictures were taken by a second person using an external button to trigger the photobooth when to take the photos. The was also enough time between photos to change positions for each of the 4 photos taken.
